  • What is Pediatric Dentistry?

    Just like a pediatrician specializes in providing medical care for kids, a pediatric dentist specializes in caring for children’s’ teeth. Pediatric dentists go through additional, specialized  training and education about the care of childrens' teeth, gums, and mouth.  Kids don’t have the same needs as adults and a pediatric dentist will ensure that get the care that is specialized to their needs.

    At 4200 Wisconsin Ave, NW, Suite 210, Washington DC 20016 in the Tenleytown neighborhood of Washington, DC.  Our office is conveniently located on a major street and easily accesssible from all parts of Washington, DC and much of Northern Virgina and Maryland's Montgomery County.   We are near bus and metro stops and provide inexpensive, validated parking to make it easy to bring your child in for his or her visit.

  • Do you take my insurance?

    We accept all PPO insurances and are an in-network provider with many insurance plans. Please call our office for more information.

  • What ages do you see in your office?

    As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Jessica specializes in treating children from their first tooth (usually by age 1) through college age.  Dr. Jessica also sees patients with special healthcare needs.

  • How old should my child be for their first visit to the dentist?

    In accordance with American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) guidance, we recommend that children visit the dentist for their first visit to when their first tooth erupts or, at latest, age 1. If you have any concerns before that, please feel free to contact us and make an appointment for them.

    We strive to make every visit a positive and pleasant experience for your child.  However, we recognize that some children and parents may have anxiety about dentistry.  We will help your child feel at ease during his or her first appointment with a caring and soothing environment and using kid friendly terminology.
